Instructor Candidate

Abby first got involved with Rainbow Riders as a volunteer in late 2019. Naturally, with dedication, a positive attitude and hard-work, it did not take long before Abby started working at Rainbow Riders in June of 2020 and ever since her role has continued to grow. Abby is now completing the Instructor Candidate program and teaches a variety of therapeutic riding and horse discovery lessons under the supervision of our certified instructors. Since working at Rainbow Riders, Abby has started taking riding lessons of her own and is working towards her Equestrian Canada English Rider Levels 1 and 2. Abby’s favourite horse at the barn is our biggest, silliest dude, Stetson!

When asked her favourite thing about working at Rainbow Riders, Abby said: “I love working with the horses and I love seeing the participants reach their own personal goals, as well as the pride they get once they reach these goals.”

Fun Fact: Abby and her family have a rescue beagle named Sasha!
