Emma Cockerill

Instructor Candidate

As a student living and studying on campus at Memorial University, Emma started volunteering at Rainbow Riders as a way to get away from the hustle and bustle of campus, and enjoy time with the horses and riders. Coming in with very little horse experience in the fall of 2019, she started as a side-walker, but progressed quickly becoming a member of our staff in the summer of 2022. Emma currently works at Rainbow Riders as a full time Instructor, but will soon return to school to pursue paramedicine. In the fall of 2021 Emma began taking lessons herself at a local riding facility, since then she has earned her Equestrian Canada Rider Level 4, and is one of Scooby’s main exercise riders! In her spare time Emma enjoys playing rugby and going on hikes with her puppy.

Fun Fact: Emma was born in Nova Scotia!
