Jenny Williams
Program & Barn Staff
Jenny began volunteering at Rainbow Riders in late 2021. Prior to this she had recently moved to Newfoundland from Ottawa! Considering things at this time were just opening back up after COVID-19, Jenny had been searching for fun experiences and ways to meet new people when she found Rainbow Riders. When asked, Jenny emphasizes that during her very first volunteer shift she immediately fell in love with the horses and knew she wanted to be involved for many years to come! Similar to many of our staff, Jenny started with no horse experience, so she spent her first year with us volunteering solely in the barn getting to know the horses. Since then she has become a valued member of our staff and can often be found teaching horse discoveries, working the barn, or assisting in therapeutic riding lessons. To fully immerse herself in the horse-world, Jenny has recently begun taking English riding lessons and hopes to continue to grow and develop as a rider! Becoming involved at Rainbow Riders has allowed Jenny to develop a passion for therapeutic recreation which she is now pursuing as a degree at Memorial University. In her free time Jenny enjoys painting, drawing, reading, watching tv/movies, and hanging out with friends.
