When Melanie’s parents gave her riding lessons at the age of 11, we’re not sure this is what they envisioned might happen. Melanie has been riding since that time and involved at a Rainbow Riders since junior high!! She started as a program and barn volunteer and her role evolved over time to encompass everything from horse care, past program coordinator and riding instructor.  Melanie was certified as a CTRII therapeutic riding instructor since 2001 and has been one of Rainbow’s key staff members since then. She loves to work with program participants and enjoys mentoring and supporting instructor candidates as they learn and develop their teaching skills.

Fun Fact: Melanie owns one of our amazing program horses - Bob!
