Hoedown In The Barn:
Saturday October 19th, 2024
On behalf of all our participants and staff, I would like to invite you to Hoedown in the Barn 2024. We are once again planning a fabulous night of entertainment, food and fun under the roof of our Olympic sized riding arena.
Hoedown in the Barn is Rainbow Riders’ only annual fundraiser and all funds raised are essential to keep our programs running, the horses well cared for and to support those participants who are experiencing financial barriers.
At Rainbow Riders our team is committed to enriching the lives of children, youth and adults in our community with physical and cognitive disabilities and mental health diagnoses. Each of our programs have been adapted to meet the individualized needs of our participants. In a recent survey we were humbled to hear many stories describing the personal achievements of our participants.
“Nathan has grown substantially (physically and emotionally) since starting with Rainbow Riders in 2018. He would not be the person he is without it. It is literally the ONLY activity that I have never heard him say he didn’t want to go to” – Joel Hickey, parent.
This year we are thrilled to announce the hilarious and always engaging, Sheila Williams as our host/MC. We are equally thrilled to welcome renowned Chef, Peter Wedgwood curating a delectable culinary experience for our Hoedown guests. And it wouldn’t be the Hoedown without fabulous music provided by our high energy house band, YYT and Hoedown favourite, David Guy
So dust off your boots, grab your cowboy hat and show your support for this fabulous organization. We can’t wait to see you all back at the barn for Hoedown 2024.
Sincerely,
Dave Steele, Chair
