Kaitlyn Mayne
Instructor Candidate
Even though Kaitlyn grew up in a small town with little riding opportunities, she still managed to become a lover of horses. Kaitlyn’s earliest memories of horses was at a horse sanctuary near her house in Hopeall, she used to go there every day after school to visit. Growing up Kaitlyn often travelled into St. John’s for figure skating, hockey tournaments and practices, during these trips she was lucky enough to get some english riding lessons at Equine Meadows! However, it wasn’t until Rainbow Riders that Kaitlyn really became a member of the horse community.
Kaitlyn’s Rainbow Riders story began in 2020 when she started volunteering in the barn and our therapeutic riding program. Shortly after, Kaitlyn became a staff member in the summer of 2021. Now, Kaitlyn is one of our instructor candidates. As quickly as she took on new roles at Rainbow Riders, Kaitlyn has also been catching up on her riding! Kaitlyn is one of the few staff members at Rainbow to have completed her Equestrian Canada Rider Level 3, and is working towards her level 4.
Fun Facts: Kaitlyn is also a certified figure skating coach with Skate Canada!
