Congratulating Erin
We are delighted & proud to announce that our Program Director/Head Instructor, Erin O'Rielly has been awarded the 2022 Andrea Gillies Outstanding Instructor award by the Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association (CanTRA). This is a huge honour presented by CanTRA and Erin is so deserving for everything she has achieved at Rainbow Riders.
Erin has been instrumental in bringing our Therapeutic Riding and our other equine programs to the highest standards while steadily increasing our reach. To ensure we are able to include all, over the last year, Erin has learned American Sign Language (ASL) in order to teach kids with hearing impairment from East Point Elementary. The outcomes for our participants have been nothing short of incredible.
As we have grown, the need to have skilled instructors is a huge priority. Erin has helped train and mentor most of our current instructors and instructor candidates. She coaches them to achieve their required rider level certifications as well as auditing their lessons and providing guidance and feedback.
This award is in recognition of Andrea Gillies and was presented by CanTRA Vice-President & Rainbow Rider’s Board Member, Margaret (Muggs) Tibbo at our annual Hoedown in the Barn event in June. Andrea and Muggs are both founders of Rainbow Riders - Therapeutic Riding.
We are so proud of you Erin! You are a perfect example of what passion, hard work and tenacity looks like when combined with kindness, compassion and heart ❤️
Congratulations from all of us at Rainbow Riders! 🌈🐴
